Refund policy
At Chapter Four Two it's our teams mission to provide you with quality garments and online shopping experience. We want you to shop with confidence! So if you're not satisfied with your purchase, please read the information below on how we can best assist you.
RETURNS
If you are not happy with your purchase, full-priced items or items using discount codes can be returned to us for a Store Credit, Gift Card or Exchange, as we do not offer refunds for change-of-mind returns.
This request must be completed within 30 days of Chapter four two fulfilling your order. All requests for these returns after this allocated time frame will not be accepted.
All returned items must be in original condition and original packaging, including the resealable clear packaging and Chapter four two mailer bag.
Chapter four two does not cover the costs of returning these items, after contacting us through the returns email address provided, we will advise you the best way in which to send your item back to us, whether that is us providing you a shipping label, or through your own carrier.
Please keep in mind that we do not assume any responsibility in the case that you choose your own courier and your parcel is lost or does not arrive to our facility.
Once we have received your parcel, it can take up to 7 business days to inspect the item and issue you a Store Credit, Gift Card or Exchange depending on your issue.
SIZE EXCHANGES
If you would like to exchange a size from the one you have ordered and we have the alternative size in stock on our website, please email us - info@thechapter42.com
If we do not have your size in stock on the website, we are unable to offer a size exchange for the size you desire. The wrong size can be returned to us for a Store Credit, as we do not offer refunds for wrong-size returns.
Requests for a size exchange must be completed within 30 days of Chapter four two fulfilling your order. All requests for size exchange returns after this allocated time frame will not be accepted.

FAULTY ITEMS
We pride ourselves on providing quality garments that go through a strict quality control process. However we acknowledge that occasionally, one item may slip through these checks. If you have received a faulty item, please attach photos of the item and any relevant details to info@thechapter42.com
Faulty items can be returned for an exchange, refund, or a Store Credit. Please note that if we no longer have the item in stock on our website, we can issue a Store Credit or refund once the faulty item is returned to us. In this case we will provide you with a return shipping label and cover any costs incurred for the transit of the parcel.

Please keep in mind that refunds can take up to two weeks to process depending on the banking institution you are with. This timeframe is out of our control.

WRONG ITEM
If you have received the wrong item, please upload photos of the wrong item and details to info@thechapter42.com - be sure to include your order number along with any other details that will help us with your issue.
The wrong item can be returned for an exchange, full refund or a Store Credit. Please note that if we no longer have the item in stock on our website, we can issue a Store Credit Gift Card or a full refund once the wrong item is returned to us. We will provide you with return shipping instructions, and in this case cover the shipping costs inccured.

UNCLAIMED ORDERS
Our team will email you if your order is marked as unclaimed and returned to us. The unclaimed order can be shipped again to the delivery address selected at checkout, or we can issue a refund for the order minus the shipping costs associated with the transit to and from the final delivery address.
Please note that if you do not pay the import duties enforced by your local government to collect your order, your parcel will be considered an unclaimed order and returned to us.
NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURNS
Any item that has been damaged by using them in a way they were not meant to be used or by not following the product specific garment care instructions does not qualify for a refund, store credit or exchange.
We do not offer refunds, store credits or exchanges for an item that has been used for a period of time where the problem is as a result of usual wear and tear.
Due to hygiene reasons, we do not offer refunds, store credits or exchanges on our hats.
Chapter four two reserves the right to reject any return in which we believe you did not comply with our rules and guidelines, returns & exchanges policy.
